Description:

The major objectives of this study focus on (a) identifying the awareness of services in early intervention (EI) and early childhood special education (ECSE) services among Korean immigrants, (b) estimating the prevalence of perceiving needs for child and family support and accessing community services in the sample population, (c) estimating the prevalence of utilizing the EI and ECSE services, (d) examining the predictors of service utilization, and family depressive symptoms and stress, and (e) identifying barriers to accessing EI and ECSE services. The overall goals are to better understand the service needs in the target population and to recommend appropriate community support.
