Sylvia F. Diehl, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is a faculty member of the University of South Florida Communication Sciences and Disorders Department where she teaches courses in augmentative and alternative communication, autism spectrum disorders, language disorders, and developmental disabilities. She has supported children with autism spectrum disorders and their families for over thirty years. In addition to her frequent local, national, and international speaking engagements, she serves as a consultant to many school districts. Dr. Diehl has authored a three web courses, a master clinician training series on autism spectrum disorders, and a virtual course for the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Her research and publication interests focus on literacy development in children with autism and consistent frameworks to support children with autism in typical classroom settings.
