Dr. Lise Fox is a professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences. Dr. Fox is the Principal Investigator for Department of Education (OSEP) funded Technical Assistance Center on Social Emotional Intervention for Young Children and the Co-Director of the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities). Dr. Fox has been a classroom teacher for students with severe disabilities, teacher educator, program developer, and researcher. Her accomplishments at USF include the development of a model early intervention program for young children with autism, the development of model approaches to working with young children with challenging behavior in natural environments, and the development of the Pyramid Model approach (a tiered promotion/prevention/intervention framework for promoting young children's social competence). She has numerous publications in the area of positive behavior support, early intervention, autism, the inclusion of children with disabilities, and developmentally appropriate practice.
