Daphne D. Thomas, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Special Education. She holds a Doctoral degree in Special Education from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master's degree in Social Work from the Atlanta University School of Social Work. She currently serves as the Department Chairperson.
Dr. Thomas has conducted research and published in the areas of families of children with disabilities, home-school collaboration, multi-cultural education, and cross-cultural teacher preparation. She teaches courses at the undergraduate and master's levels and serves on a number of doctoral dissertation committees.
